Welcome to the 'Friends of Valence School' Website.

Friends of Valence School is a committee of people from various walks of life connected to Valence. There are roughly 20 people on the committee at present.

Who we are

Valence School is a special residential school for young people with physical disabilities and complex medical needs. We currently have 104 students which some are 4 night boarders and stay occasional weekends.

Students have a number of support staff who help them to become as independent as possible.These include a Therapy Team (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy) Care Staff,Education Team, Special Support Assistants, Domestic and Kitchen Staff. We also have Communication and Access Support.

We take students from age 4 upwards to 19 with the chioce of post 16 education. We have 3 education phases including: Primary, Secondary and the Further Education Unit.

The 'Friends of Valence' have a main aim - to raise money for the students of Valence to help them develop and enrich their lives whilst at the school.
